Terra Australis Advisory combines the experience of it’s principAL, Joff Macleod, with a strong network within the agricultural industry and a number of strategic alliances which provide complimentary services on a collaborative basis.

Joff Macleod has many years of experience advising private and family business groups in all aspects of business including taxation, corporate finance, strategic planning, family succession and retirement planning.

A graduate of The University of Melbourne, Joff has a Masters of Taxation for the same University and in excess of 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant. This experience included approximately 25 years as a partner at MGI and then PwC where Joff still acts as an independent consultant supporting clients in the PwC Private Clients and Agribusiness teams.

Joff has a passionate interested in the agricultural industry and advises various large family groups and enterprises in the Australian agricultural sector. These businesses cover a broad range of sub sectors within the agricultural industry including beef cattle, horticulture, dairy, grain and general livestock industries.

In these roles Joff has been involved in providing advice on all stages of a business life cycle including raising seed and venture capital, preparing businesses for sale and investment, managing and advising on business growth strategies and assisting with the purchase and sale of businesses.

This interest in agriculture extends to managing a small Angus stud breeding operation at the family’s property north east of Melbourne.

Joff has presented papers at various seminars around Australia on various aspects of agriculture, family succession, taxation and financial management. He also sits in an advisory capacity on a number of private company boards, industry groups and charitable bodies.
